Scope
This policy applies to EasyToShop at easytoshop.net. It explains the categories of information that may be processed when you visit the website, follow an affiliate link or contact us.
Information you provide
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your name, email address and message. Please do not send payment information or sensitive personal information.
Website and device data
Our hosting provider may process standard technical records, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps and security events, to deliver and protect the website.
Advertising parameters and session storage
When present in a landing-page URL, EasyToShop stores a limited set of advertising attribution parameters in browser session storage: gclid, campaign ID, ad group ID, keyword, match type and device. Eligible values are used to maintain attribution while a visitor navigates within the site and are passed to the affiliate destination only through the documented mapping. The campaign ID remains in session storage and is not forwarded because no verified ClickBank destination field is currently configured for it.
Session storage is normally cleared when the relevant browser tab or session ends. EasyToShop's current tracking script does not store names, email addresses or payment details.
Google Ads measurement and Consent Mode
EasyToShop uses the Google tag for Google Ads to measure advertising and campaign performance. Google Consent Mode v2 communicates the visitor's choice through four signals:
- ad_storage controls storage such as cookies used for advertising.
- analytics_storage controls storage used for analytics-related measurement.
- ad_user_data communicates whether user data may be sent to Google for advertising purposes.
- ad_personalization communicates whether data may be used for personalized advertising.
These signals default to denied when no saved choice exists. With denied consent, the Google tag may send limited cookieless measurement signals but does not receive permission from this site to use optional advertising or analytics storage. If the visitor allows optional cookies, all four signals are updated to granted. EasyToShop does not use Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager as part of this implementation.
Consent preference and affiliate cookie storage
EasyToShop stores the visitor's allow or reject choice and the time it was updated in local browser storage under ets_consent_v1. This preference does not contain a name, email address or other information the visitor submits. It remains until the visitor changes the choice, clears site data or the browser removes it.
If optional cookies are allowed on the TedsWoodworking landing page, EasyToShop also stores a first-party cookie named ets_affiliate_url for up to 30 days. That cookie contains the encoded affiliate destination assembled from the fixed campaign values and the allowlisted advertising attribution values available for the visit. It may include values such as gclid, ad group, keyword, match type, device and, after an affiliate CTA click, the CTA position. A newer eligible visit or CTA click may refresh this cookie. Choosing Reject optional cookies removes the cookie from EasyToShop.
Affiliate links and third parties
Affiliate links take you to third-party websites. The EasyToShop first-party ets_affiliate_url cookie stores only the affiliate destination used by this site after optional-cookie consent; it does not itself place a third-party ClickBank cookie. The destination provider, affiliate network and payment processor, including ClickBank where identified, operate under their own privacy policies and may use cookies or collect information independently after you leave EasyToShop. EasyToShop does not set, control or manage those third-party cookies or data practices.
Data retention and security
Contact messages and operational records may be retained only as reasonably necessary for communication, security, legal obligations and website operation. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices
You can select Allow cookies or Reject optional cookies in the consent banner and change that decision later through Cookie preferences in the footer. Rejecting optional cookies removes the EasyToShop affiliate URL cookie described above. You may also avoid affiliate links, clear browser storage, configure browser cookie controls and contact us with a privacy question. Rights concerning personal information vary by location; we will consider applicable requests as required by law.
